What is Jan Aushadhi?

Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya JanAushadhi Pariyojna is a Government of India initiative run by the Department of Pharmaceuticals to make quality generic medicines available at affordable prices through dedicated Kendras. Medicines are sold by their salt name, removing brand premium — usually a 50% to 90% saving for the same composition and strength.
